![]() Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master - ASUS X99 Deluxe.Intel X99 Rig (Officially Decommissioned, Dead CPU returned to Intel) Your motherboard requires two CPU / EPS 8-pin connections, so you would need a different PSU anyways. I guess trying adapters and Y splitters is just not worth it, I'll just put it up for saleĪ 8-pin CPU power connector IS an 8-pin CPU power connector.Ī trapezoidal pin will fit in EITHER a square, or matching trapezoid socket.Ī square pin will ONLY fit in a square socket. Apparently instead of 8pin (2x4) I got 8pin (4+4) cables. I'm really lost in this terminology not gonna lie. When I realised that I got the wrong PSU model I thought I would test everything with only one processor running, turns out I can't even properly connect that one. I thought 8pin was 8pin. And yes, I can fit one 4pin into that motherboard cpu connector but the other one doesn't fit (to have both act as a 8pin) I don't think it should be like that and I don't want to accidentally fry anything. With a dfferent shape layout (square, trapeze kinda thing). They are brand new, it looks like that just because of lighting haha. Any help is appreciatedĨ pin EPS connector with two 4 pin connectors on its other end. Are there any adapters that I could buy and use instead of purchasing a new PSU and selling this one? I will attach some photos and links below. #POWERSELECT 13645N DOESNT FIT SUBARU MANUAL#Long story short my motherboard has two 12V 2x4 pin connectors and I can't power even a single one.My PSU has 1x EPS/ATX12V 8(4+4) -pin (as it says in the manual lol). There are 2 cables marked with "CPU" on them but as I said the shape doesn't fit. The PROBLEM is I made a mistake when ordering my PSU.Initially I was going for EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2,750W, Fully Modular, but what I got is EVGA 750W B3 fully modular. Main power connector fits just fine but it's impossible to connect cpu cables to 12V processor core voltage connector (2 x 4 pin) on my motherboard. My motherboard is Intel s2600cp with two xeon E5-2670 processors and 32gb of ram for now. ![]() Anyway I decided to build a computer myself. I have very little experience and every computer I owned so far was a laptop so please don't be too harsh on me. #POWERSELECT 13645N DOESNT FIT SUBARU CRACKED#( at least I didn't need radiator, just cracked plug, that will go back to Rock). Now Plug wires, front struts, brakes & rotors, Trans hoses to radiator, re-flush coolant, rear hub bearing, and a leaky top plug on radiator. Took 4 days in between cold weather and short sunlit days, but sounds great when I finally got it running! I am thinking I saved $ 1500 since all the parts I bought, hoses, thermostat, thermostat housing, AC & Alt belt etc.was $500 at Rock Auto. I was quoted $1000 for the timing belt change and I know they would use even cheaper parts than Gates. I know I had to take out battery and air filter & housing etc, and needed universal joints and flex& bend ratchets etc., but really, $400-$600 for plugs at mechanic? I listen to a car radio show here in NY/NJ and a guy called and was quoted $600 to just change plugs on an OB. I researched and colder plugs are for hard, high rev driving, not the easy does it like I do, but I used them anyway. I chatted with Autolite if they were interchangeable. I had a set of plugs from my 2001 OB, Autolite 3923, for the 2009 it calls for 3924. Anyone see this before? Is it the valve cover gaskets leaking?īTW plugs looked so worn I think they were original. ![]() Plugs were covered in oil inside the plug well and the boots. While in there, according to Haynes manual, took out plugs to be easier to rotate engine. Still much more difficult than the U tube vids, getting the cog idler and last bottom lipped idler, but it worked. tried again with Subaru belt and got it in. Went to dealer and got original Subaru belt, $86.16. Saw I could move right cam some to give me more slack. ![]()
